The Dayton Daily News in accepting portfolios until July 1 for a full-
time staff photographer. Applicants should have at least three years
experience, a passion for photojournalism, the ability to produce
compelling photo stories and a willingness to master the new digital
camera technology. Candidates must have an experienced ability to
generate, shoot and layout photo stories. Although page design is not
part of the daily responsibilities, candidates will need to work
closely with editors and designers to get self-generated photo
stories into the paper.

It is essential that the successful candidate work well in a team
environment. Working nights and weekends is required.

Position Summary

The Advertising Coordinator has the primary role of giving creative,
energetic, effective direction to The Office of Student Media
advertising operations. The Advertising Coordinator is responsible
for recruiting, training and advising student staffs in advertising
sales, promotion, development and transaction procedures. The
position coordinates the circulation activities of the daily
newspaper, assists in collection efforts and coordinates
communication concerning deadlines, delivery and quality control with
the printer(s). The Advertising Coordinator helps establish goals and
objectives, as well as sales strategies, and develops and maintains
revenue sources in local, area, state regional and national markets.
He or she sees that credit policies are followed and that
departmental standards are upheld. This position is essential for
maintaining the continuity of the student media programs and the
fiscal stability of the student newspaper.

The Advertising Coordinator, under the supervision and direction of
Associate Director of Student Media, manages the day-to-day
operations of the advertising department of The Crimson White, which

Business Manager

This position reports to the Director of Student Media and oversees
business services of Student Media. Student Media includes The
Reveille, Gumbo, Legacy, KLSU and Tiger TV. Authorization relative to
expenditure of departmental funds, hiring of permanent staff, and
establishment of major policies must be received from the Director.

Qualifications Required:

- Bachelor¹s degree in accounting, business administration or

up plant funds, taking care of property inventory, dispersing student

a liaison with the Office of Accounting Services.

E 10 Responsible for the internal audit function within Student Media
business affairs, including monthly MOT reconciliation. This also
includes development and maintenance of the internal audit guide and
procedures in accordance with generally accepted audit standards and
